The Orlando Magic host the Boston Celtics in their 3rd NBA Pre-Season game at the Amway Center.
Coming off a win against the Atlanta Hawks, the Magic are looking to do the same in front of their fans, as they'll play in their homecourt for the first time. Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic have been performing at a high-level already, with Jonathan Isaac and Markelle Fultz appearing to have made big strides from last season. Another player that's been racking up a lot of minutes is Terrence Ross, due to Evan Fournier injury, and he's making the most out of it posting 20 points along with 4 rebounds and 4 assists in the last game. However, even holding the opposing teams to less than 100 points in the last two games, the Magic defense has not been great and could face serious problems when faced with the Boston Celtics guards, as DJ Augustin and Michael Carter Williams are not defensive specialists.
The Boston Celtics have won their first Pre-Season game against the Charlotte Hornets at the TD Garden. Brad Stevens will have his whole roster available when they face the Magic, allowing him to test different rotations in order to prepare for the season in a few days. Marcus Smart is expected to start alongside their superstar Kemba Walker, which could pose many problems for Orlando's guard rotation. Gordon Hayward will likely come off the bench to provide an important scoring punch for the second unit. The biggest problem the Celtics face is on the frontcourt, as Aaron Gordon, Jonathan Isaac and Nikola Vucevic could prove to be to much to handle for Robert Williams and undersized Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. It is expected that the Florida team dominates the interior game, pounding the ball inside every opportunity they get.
The Over 210.5 Total Points @1.71 seems an interesting choice as both teams will likely test different lineups and rotations, leaving the defensive side to second plan. Along with that, usually in Pre-Season, the games tend to be at a high pace, leading to high-scoring results.
