The Charlotte Hornets will host Luke Walton and the Sacramento Kings tonight at the Spectrum Center.
James Borrego and his team are coming a heavy loss at Indiana against the Pacers. Coming off two straight road victories, the Hornets couldn’t capitalize and make it in a row on Sunday night, as Myles Turner and company proved to be too much for them to handle. They’ll now receive the Kings, who are playing very good basketball as of late, and could possibly be headed for a second straight loss. P.J. Washington is out due to his injury on his finger, making them even thinner on the frontcourt. Nicolas Batum is another player who’s questionable to make it tonight, while Marvin Williams is probable. I expect a very tough game for the Hornets, as Sacramento is trying to fight for a playoff spot out West.
The Kings have 4 wins in their last 5 games, with their only defeat coming at home against one of the worst teams in the league. They’ll have a three-game road trip incoming, with the first game being in Charlotte. De’Aaron Fox will probably make his return tonight, giving them an extra boost in the backcourt and most importantly, replacing Cory Joseph in the starting lineup, as he’s been underwhelming in the last few games. With a relatively easy schedule in the following weeks, the Sacramento Kings could cement themselves as a playoff contender, so they’ll try to take care of these more accessible fixtures.
Even though the Hornets play at home, the Kings are going through a very good moment right now, so I expect them to run away with the win.
