The depleted Golden State Warriors will receive a red-hot Boston Celtics squad at their brand new arena Chase Center tonight.
Golden State’s season has been a disaster until now. After receiving the news that Klay Thompson would probably miss the entire 2019-2020 season, a few weeks later it was Stephen Curry’s time to suffer a serious problem to his hand. He’s scheduled to be out for the whole year as well, leaving the Warriors in a very tough position. One can safely say that at this moment, they’re one of the worst teams in the NBA and will most certainly miss the playoffs, something that was hard to imagine at the beginning. D’Angelo Russell and Draymond Green are surrounded by rookies and players brought from the G-League, and tonight they’ll have a hard task stopping Brad Stevens pupils. It’s to be expected another tough night for Steve Kerr’s squad.
On the other side, the Celtics are with the best record in the NBA. Sitting at 1st place in the Eastern Conference and in the whole league with 9-1, they’re expected to cruise when they face the lowly Warriors. Even with major absences lately in Gordon Hayward, Robert Williams and Daniel Theis, Brad Stevens implemented a dynamic system that is reminiscing of his 2017 Celtics team. It’s hard to imagine the Warriors causing any trouble to the Celtics, even though the NBA is prodigal in upsets.
It’s only natural for the Celtics to show their much bigger quality during tonight’s match, and I think that’s exactly what it’s going to happen at the Chase Center.
Boston Celtics -7.5
