The Indiana Pacers host the Toronto Raptors tonight at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
With the return of Victor Oladipo, the Indiana Pacers can finally field their strongest squad for the remainder of the season. They were with an impressive record already, without the All-Star player, and with the 27-year-old back, a top 3 seed is possible. However, not everything is as good as the story tells. Since Oladipo’s return, the Pacers haven’t won a single game. The player is still rusty after almost a year without seeing the court, and the chemistry between him and a few recent acquisitions is still not perfect. Obviously, they’ll improve over time, but at the moment Indiana is not looking great. They will host the Raptors, a team that’s currently on a 12-game winning streak. Expect this game to be a tough one for Nate Mcmillan's squad, especially without TJ Warren.
The Raptors are riding the league’s longest winning streak with twelve wins in a row. Even without some of their key players like Marc Gasol or Norman Powell, they still find ways to win, as it was shown on their incredible comeback against this same team, two days ago. Kyle Lowry and Fred Vanvleet are a very dangerous backourt, as they have the ability to shoot the three or set up their teammates perfectly. With Marc Gasol’s absence, it looks like Serge Ibaka has also turned back the clock, with incredible averages over his last five games. They could benefit of TJ Warren’s absence tonight along with Oladipo’s supposed rest, as everything indicates that he won’t play. Still, it’s a hard task to beat the Pacers in front of their fans.
The Pacers could be without several players tonight, something that will impact their usual production. On the other side, the Raptors have been excellent lately, and I got them as favourites for tonight.
