Leicester City of Brendan Rodgers will host Everton at King Power Stadium in a match that could be decisive for Marco Silva’s future with the Toffees.
This current season for Leicester has been nothing short of amazing so far. Currently sitting in 2nd place with 29 points, they’re on a six-game winning streak and produced 9 wins and only a loss in their last 10 games. The goal difference of 31:8 is the best in the league, with surprisingly, Soyuncu, the defender who replaced Harry Maguire, making a name for himself at the start of the season. Although Everton’s not in the best moment right now, their players have the quality to create problems to Leicester, so all precautions will be needed to get away with a win Sunday.
Unai Emery is already gone from Arsenal, and Marco Silva could be the next one in line if he loses the match against Leicester. It’s quite hard to understand how the Toffees just can’t seem to put a good run of results with the talent they have in their squad. They are very hit or miss away from home, so you never know what to expect from Everton in these type of games. Putting the ball on the net doesn’t seem to be the problem here, as they are usually score at least a goal when not playing at Goodison Park. Their defense however, has been pretty bad, and that’s what the focus should be on for the game against Leicester.
Even though Leicester’s the stronger team, I’m expecting an open game with goals from both sides here.
