The Memphis Grizzlies host the Orlando Magic tonight at FedExForum.
The home team is looking like the main candidate to grab the last playoff spot in the Western Conference at the moment. Winners of four of their last five, the Grizzlies need to keep winning the games they’re supposed to, as they possess the second hardest schedule until the end of the season, according to Tankathon. Jaren Jackson Jr. is still out, but other players have been stepping up in his absence, like Josh Jackson who spent most of his time this year in the G-League. Currently 4.0 games ahead of the 9th place, the Grizzlies have a golden chance to return to the playoffs since 2017.
On the other hand, the Orlando Magic are coming off an impressive win against the Houston Rockets. Lately, they’ve been looking like a great team, obtaining production from both their starting five and their bench unit. Even without Jonathan Isaac and Evan Fournier, the Magic completely outplayed the Westbrook-Harden duo, and will look to impose their will against a strong Grizzlies team. A win here could see them climb the standings to the 7th seed, so expect a strong showing from them.
This will be a very interesting matchup. Both teams need the win to cement their position, but the home court advantage could prove to be essential here.
