The Oklahoma City Thunder receive the red-hot Indiana Pacers tonight at Chesapeake Arena.
The Thunder come off two close wins against the New Orleans Pelicans, one on the road and the other one at their home turf. This time they’ll host an Indiana squad who are playing probably their best basketball of the season, so it’s expected a big challenge for Billy Donovan’s team. Chris Paul has not been on his level this season, but Danilo Gallinari and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander are stepping up to the occasion, providing much of the scoring load for Oklahoma. They usually are a much stronger team at home than on the road, and will try to justify that tonight. Steven Adams presence will need to be huge in order to contain Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner, a duo that can cause havoc in any team’s defense.
Nate Mcmillan’s squad arrive for this game full of confidence. Winners of 6 in their last 7, the Pacers are being capable of getting wins even without some of their star players. Victor Oladipo is set to return early in 2020, giving them an incredible boost for a top 4 spot in the Eastern Conference. Meanwhile, they’re doing a good job of staying afloat the first places, with the help of Domantas Sabonis, as he’s dominating every single matchup he’s being presented at the moment. With Steven Adams on the other side tonight, things will be harder for him, but he’s more than capable of producing good numbers for the Pacers.
Oklahoma’s a good team playing at home, but the Pacers are clearly riding their very good momentum, something that could lead them to a win tonight.
