The Orlando Magic receive one of the strongest teams in the league at Amway Center in the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Orlando Magic come from a loss at Milwaukee against the Bucks, but that was their only loss in their last 5 games. Even though most of those matchups were against bad teams record-wise, the Magic got the job done and are potentially looking at a playoff spot come April. Khem Birch has been filling Nikola Vucevic’s spot until he comes back from his injury, but not with the same production. It will be a hard task for the Magic to stop the Lakers frontcourt tonight, as Anthony Davis has been tearing the league apart in the last few weeks. However, in one of the most important Magic players absence, Evan Fournier has been raising his level, along his teammate Terrence Ross, who’s an important piece off the bench. It’s expected a very tough game for Orlando.
The Lakers keep on rolling. With 21 wins and 3 losses they have the best record in the NBA alongside the Bucks. LeBron James and Anthony Davis are a very hard duo to stop, and if the role players keep on producing, they are almost impossible to beat. Avery Bradley is scheduled to return tonight, giving them an extra body to defend Evan Fournier. Frank Vogel’s team will try to take advantage of Orlando’s thin frontcourt options, rotating between Anthony Davis, Javale Mcgee and Dwight Howard, in order to steal the win at Amway Center. It will be interesting to see if Kyle Kuzma finally gets back on track against a poor Magic team, as he’s been struggling lately.
Even though Orlando plays at home, the Los Angeles Lakers look unstoppable, as they still have a perfect record away from home this season.
