The Portland Trail Blazers will receive the disappointing Chicago Bulls at Moda Center tonight, in hopes to notch their 3rd consecutive win.
Coming off their 2nd straight win against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Damian Lillard and company have a good opportunity to make it three in a row when they face the Chicago Bulls tonight. After a long run away from home, the Blazers look to improve their home record in this current mini-stand in front of their fans, before heading to California to play the Clippers. Still without Nurkic and Collins, Terry Stotts’s team has been able to recover some of their injured players, and at the moment they look poised to make a good run until Christmas in order to get back to playoff contention. Their last matchup happened just a few days ago in Chicago, with Portland trouncing the Bulls by 23 points.
The Chicago Bulls just can’t seem to find the right path at the moment. Jim Boylen is being severely criticized and if their win column continues being stale, the most likely scenario is for him to leave the organization. Even though they’re currently one of the worst teams in the league, the talent is still there. Zach Lavine, Lauri Markkanen and Coby White can completely take over a game with their skillset, but for some reason the team seems disconnected during the game, independently of the outcome. We’ll see if tonight’s the end of the line for Jim Boylen in case the Bulls lose at Moda Center.
Portland has a good opportunity of continuing their winning ways against the Bulls, and I expect them to start the game with an increased sense of urgency.
