Damian Lillard and company will receive fellow Western Conference rival tonight at Moda Center, in a much needed win for the home team.
Coming off a very important win on the road against the Chicago Bulls, the Blazers will try to make it two straight when they host a very different Thunder team than the one they’ve faced last year in the playoffs. They had a tough schedule until now, mainly away from home, and if they want to have a chance to make the postseason, these types of games are the ones they should be able to win. Portland’s usually a very strong team in front of their fans, and even though they are not heavy favourites tonight, Terry Stotts and his squad are more than capable to get the job done.
The Thunder come off a big comeback win at Golden State’s arena, as they trailed all game long, to steal the win in the very end. Even though the Warriors are probably the worst team in the league at the moment, Billy Donovan’s team showed resilience and grit in order to complete the turnaround at Chase Center. However, they will have a very tough game tonight, and their guards need to be on their best level as Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum and Carmelo Anthony will pose a big challenge defensively. It would come out as a surprise if the Thunder get anything out of tonight’s matchup.
After 5 games on the road, the Blazers finally return home to play in front of their crowd, and that could be a big difference tonight as they seem to be motivated after their last win at Chicago.
