The Sacramento Kings host the Washington Wizards tonight at Golden 1 Center.
With the possibility of still reaching the 8th seed, the Sacramento Kings are looking better and better as time goes on. Luke Walton finally found a formula that can potentialize the players he has, as he moved Buddy Hield to the bench in detriment of Bogdan Bogdanovic. They won 4 of their last 5 games, and have another easy stretch of games coming up, giving them the possibility of getting closer to a playoff spot. De’Aaron Fox is currently going through some abdominal issues, but is probable to lineup for tonight’s fixture, unlike Cory Joseph, who’s sidelined by a bruised right heel. We are reaching the decisive part of the season, as this next stretch of games is do or die for the Sacramento Kings.
On the other hand, there will also be a team still fighting for the playoffs, although it’s unlikely they’ll reach it by the end of the season. Guided by Bradley Beal’s incredible play, the Wizards are finally fully healthy, but will face two teams who are desperately in need of wins in their last two games of their road trip. They are 4 games behind the last spot who grants playoff access, and every fixture counts. Their defensive problems are still known to everyone, and fixing them could do them wonders for the remaining of the season, as they have an easy time scoring the basketball. Let’s see how it all unfolds for the Wizards.
Although both teams are still looking to make the playoffs, the Kings have the better squad. I’m expecting a win for them, as they’re clearly look motivated for what’s left of the season.
