DeMar DeRozan and the San Antonio Spurs will host the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight at the AT&T Center, looking to bounce back from a surprising defeat Tuesday night at Atlanta against the Hawks. Despite having changed almost their entire roster, the Thunder are a very competitive opponent and the Spurs are expected to face difficulties tonight.
With a record of 4 wins and 3 losses so far in the NBA, the Spurs are coming from two defeats, and if the loss against the Lakers at home was admissible, last Tuesday at Atlanta was a bit surprising from Popovich's team as the Hawks were playing with Trae Young coming from an injury and without John Collins due to suspension. Sitting in the last playoff spot of the Western Conference, the Spurs will try to catch the winning path again, using their home turf as a main weapon to win tonight's game against the Thunder. The team won 3 out of 4 games already played at the AT&T Center this season.

Oklahoma City made huge changes last summer, mainly the swap of Russell Westbrook for Chris Paul and the trade of Paul George that saw the additions of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Danilo Gallinari. The has been performing well this season and, despite loosing the 2 first games of their NBA campaign, the Thunder won 3 of the last 5 games. The 2 losses in that period were against powerful contenders like Portland and Houston, both on the road by very small margins, which gives credit to a team that is still figuring out how to play together. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been phenomenal so far, averaging 22.1 PPG, 6.6 RPG and 3.1 APG, with 2 triples per game in 35 MPG. The Thunder will try to win their first game of the season outside the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma, the third in the same number of games played in this month of November.
