Five-star recruits from high school are starting to take a different route
Jimmy Butler is the teammate everyone needs. Often criticized for being harsh and disrespectful towards his teammates, Butler proved once again that he gets along fine with the people he likes. The Miami Heat’s culture also has been credited by the 30-year-old, where he said that it’s a big part of what they’re accomplishing this year. Due to the lockdown, players have not been able to practice in their team’s facilities, and if they don’t have any type of material in their homes, the worst-case scenario is that they’re also not staying in shape. However, Jimmy decided to change that and sent baskets to every single player and staff on the team. Now, they no longer have an excuse for not staying in shape and be ready when the time calls again.
The players received big boxes several days ago, with even an option of transferring them to their offseason homes. Goran Dragic was one of the players that already spoke about the delivery.
“Two days ago I received a big box, I opened it and it was a basketball hoop from Jimmy,” Dragic said Sunday in an Instagram Live discussion with Heat television host Jason Jackson. “My first hoop [that I have] is for kids. So basically, it was not a real hoop for me. Yesterday [Saturday] I was putting together all these pieces and finally, I made it. I already shot some shots to take advantage of that. Jimmy, thank you brother. I appreciate it.”
With no timetable set to restart the NBA season, several videos are surfacing of NBA players working out and staying in shape. Jimmy Butler seems like he doesn’t want his Miami Heat team to miss a beat when it’s time to get back to action. Performing at a very high level this year, Erik Spoelstra and the Heat have a very good chance of going deep into the postseason. Let’s wait and see when it’s all said and done.
