Without real NBA basketball, the league tried something different to keep the fans entertained throughout these tough days we’re living in. Multiple reports in the last few days, from journalists with inside connections, were told that an NBA 2K tournament between the players could be on the way. Well, it happens to be true. There will be an event where players from different teams will hold the pad to go against each other in a playoff-bracket system. The seeds go from 1 to 16, with guys like Kevin Durant, Donovan Mitchell, DeMarcus Cousins and Hassan Whiteside taking part of. This type of competition has been usual in other sports like soccer, where mini-leagues are created and streamed on platforms like Twitch or Facebook so fans could still cheer up on their favourite team. With how the situation is unfolding in the United States of America relative to the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s highly unlikely that we’ll get any NBA basketball in the near future, unfortunately.
Take a look about the bracket for the tournament:

The tournament will start on April 3 and will be aired by one of the most known channels in North America. ESPN. It’s a way for people to tune-in and get some NBA feeling back. It’s still unknown of who will be the reporters for this event or if we’ll get to see the players doing some type of commentary after the games are played. Either way, it seems a good idea by the league. Let’s see who takes the best in an NBA 2K competition.
