PCB Backs Misbah despite failure in PSL 202023 March 2020 / SkyBook365 Cricket Editors Team
Islamabad crashed out without reaching the knockout stages for the 1st time.
Australia are unstoppable. In a format, they have historically struggled to come to grips with, no less. Pakistan will be facing Australia in its 3rd T20 International match on Friday. Australia beat Pakistan on 2nd T20 as master batsman Steve Smith stroked an unbeaten 80. They have decided to rest Patrick Cummins and it will be interesting to see who takes his place with so much competition. Pakistan are somehow clinging on to their No.1 ranking, but their performances are increasingly doing little to justify that position. The series is on the line for the visitors with scoreline set at 1-0 against them. Pakistan have not been good enough with bat or ball, and nowhere near enough of their players are in anything close to their best form. A win for Pakistan here will help them go a step forward, as far as getting the combination right for the next year's T20 World Cup is concerned. Comparing the two teams in all aspects, Australia are more likely to emerge on top in the upcoming 3rd T20.
They have decided to rest Patrick Cummins and it will be interesting to see who takes his place with so much competition. There is a possible chance to return to the side for Seasn Abbott, though Billy Stanlake is also waiting in the wings. We might see some changes from the Pakistani side also Fakhar Zaman may replace with Imam-Ul-Haq also Asif Ali and M Irfan expected to be replaced by Khushdil Shah, M Hasnain. Australians have done well in the matches they have played in the series so far. They have been in superb form and beating them is not going to be easy even for the high-flying Aussies. Meanwhile, barring Babar Azam and to an extent Iftikhar and Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan's batsmen have struggled to counter the formidable Australian pace attack. But there remains plenty to play for, not least the series itself, and also the continuing road towards a now imminent Test series between the two teams.
