Islamabad crashed out without reaching the knockout stages for the 1st time.
New Zealand has taken a 2-1 lead in the T20 series against England after the visitors collapsed and let go of a winning position in the third T20. England have an experimental side but have seen their flurry of new players come up short in the last two matches. They were unable to chase imposing targets of 177 and 181. England’s captain Eoin Morgan may continue his relentless experimentation or finally play the possible England lineup. New Zealand, on the other hand, have won the last two matches to take the lead in this series and could now welcome Trent Boult back into the team too, he was rested for the first three matches. Problems at the top of the order continue to plague New Zealand. Opening batsman Colin Munro scored only 6 runs on the 3rd T20 against England, but another opener Martin Guptill, Colin de Grandhomme is in good form. Lockie Ferguson is not expected to play the final two T20’s and be replaced by Trent Boult. Ferguson has been the best bowler for New Zealand in this series.
England captain Eoin Morgan has given chance to many young players on this series and lost the last two matches against New Zealand. Bairstow is expected to return to the side replacing either Dawid Malan or James Vince. Chris Jordan and Adil Rashid, who also missed out on Tuesday, look to return for this match. New Zealand, on the other hand, have won the last two matches to take the lead in this series and could now welcome Trent Boult back into the team, he is expected to replace Ferguson. The 4th T20 between Nez Zealand and England will be a high scoring match the pitch at McLean Park is expected to be good for batting. The short square boundaries will also encourage high scoring.
