3 Academy prospects Paris Saint-Germain didn’t capitalize03 April 2020 / Miguel Coelho
Paris Saint-Germain has an history of wasting their youth talent. Who are they?
Manchester United will play against Astana FC in an encounter for the 5th round of the Europa League group stage. But that’s not the main headline. Max Taylor, a 19-year-old player from the youth ranks is in the squad for Thursday’s match.
But why is that such big news? Nine months ago the youngster was starting chemotherapy to treat his cancer that was discovered back in February. The treatment he was submitted had great results, which resulted in an unexpected early comeback to the pitch on September for the U23 team. Fast forward to now and he’s travelling with the first team in hopes he could log some minutes in an European game. An incredible award not only because of the player’s quality but also because of his perseverance.
Hopefully this story is seen by everybody and set as an example to never give up on your dreams, and fight until your legs can’t hold no more.
