3 Academy prospects Paris Saint-Germain didn’t capitalize03 April 2020 / Miguel Coelho
Paris Saint-Germain has an history of wasting their youth talent. Who are they?
At age 19, Erling Haland appears to be one of the figures in the next European football transfer window. The Red Bull Salzburg striker hit the spotlight during the first half of the season, especially in the Champions League, competitions that he scored eight goals in six games. The striker has lot of interested clubs. In the last few hours, Borussia Dortmund and Leipzig have shown a strong interest in the player and have joined Manchester United and Juventus in the race for the young promise that worths 28 goals in 22 games in all competitions this season. But after all, who would be better prepared to welcome the striker and which team would better for him?

The club's policy of betting on young players can benefit Erling Haland by helping him have more minutes. Jadon Sancho (19), Thorgan Hazard (26), Marco Reus (30) and Paco Alcácer, are the main offensive references of the Dortmund´s side and the arrival of the Danish should mean a new threat for each one of them. In the squad, Haland could find another young danish striker: Bruun Larsen.
Even younger is Manchester United's current attack. Rashford has centered all attentions, but the 22-year-old is not alone in the youth championship. Daniel James, 22, and Anthony Martial, 24, are the usual attacking partners of the United´s number 10, and a bet on Holland would not be entirely a surprise to give more options for the Solskjaer's current 4-4-2.
Competition at Juve is heavy. Names like Ronaldo, Higuaín, Dybala, Douglas Costa and even Mandzukic, which has few minutes this season, would leave little room for Haland to play many games this season. However, Juve can see Haland as an option for the future because Ronaldo (34), Higuaín (32) and Mandzukic (33) have all crossed the 32-year-old.
The Bundesliga runners-up have been a real goal scorer machine this season. They are Bundesliga's best attack (39 goals in 14 games) and their main offensive references are Marcel Sabitzer (25), Emil Forsberg (28), Yussuf Poulsen (25) and Timo Werner (23) who have already scored 20 goals in all. the competitions this season. Haland's inclusion might not have an immediate, but if he confirms all the potential, he would not go far enough to fight for a place in the German attack.
