3 Academy prospects Paris Saint-Germain didn’t capitalize03 April 2020 / Miguel Coelho
Paris Saint-Germain has an history of wasting their youth talent. Who are they?
Anfield Road is a legendary venue across Europe. With capacity for 54.074 fans, the stadium is holded in high regard in terms of the best atmospheres in the football world.
If that was not enough, Liverpool’s board is planning to go even further. They’re looking to add 7.000 extra seats for their capacity to reach 61.000, giving them an extra gear when playing at home in front of their fans. This clings to the demand already being too high, as Liverpool’s current Anfield Road can’t aggregate so many spectators, and the club’s fanbase is growing even larger due to their excellent results.
The whole renovation structure would cost roughly around €70 million, an amount that should be no problem for Liverpool and his owners. Just to put in perspective, the Reds made more than that amount in their last year’s victorious campaign in the Champions League. The money will be borrowed from the club’s existing credit facility and is going through public consultation process at the moment.
Could Liverpool suffer from the same problem Atlético Madrid went through? Vicente Caldéron was a nightmare for the opposing teams in terms of atmosphere, but Wanda Metropolitano is not quite the same. Hopefully, Anfield Road will not get the same outcome.
