The Spanish forward may leave Valencia for one of the European football giants
The Champions League draw has dictated that FC Barcelona and Napoli will fight for a place in the quarterfinals of the most important European club competition. Looking at history, it will be the first time the two clubs will meet, but there is a name that says a lot to both Italians and Spaniards: Diego Armando Maradona. The Argentine has shone in both clubs and will surely be a very keen spectator of this Champions League round.
El Pibe arrived in Europe via FC Barcelona. He was received as a true God, but in the years at Barcelona, the super talented Argentine never claimed his potential. Hired to put an end to the lack of Catalan titles, Maradona would eventually leave Catalonia without the desired crown. Still, the 38 goals in 59 games helped the Barça win a Spanish Cup, a Spanish Super Cup, and a League Cup.

While in Naples, Maradona has grown the status of myth surrounding her career. Leaving Barcelona for a modest Italian club, El Pibe led the Napolitan team to an unprecedented Italian title in 1986/87. The Argentine magician impressed the world with his football and during his stint in Italy has taken the club to his best moment in history: 2 League titles, one Italian Cup, one Super Cup, one UEFA Cup and 115 goals scored in 259 games.
