3 Academy prospects Paris Saint-Germain didn’t capitalize03 April 2020 / Miguel Coelho
Paris Saint-Germain has an history of wasting their youth talent. Who are they?
AC Milan announced his 7th manager since Massimo Allegri was sacked in January 2014. This time is Stefano Pioli who was appointed, signing a 2-year contract with the Rossoneri. He will have a difficult task ahead, as AC Milan is in 13th position at Serie A, only 3 points ahead of the relegation zone. That was the scenario Marco Giampaolo left in only three months in charge of the club from San Siro.
Six managers passed by the Rossoneri with no success, and the club continues to fall in results and strength, both in Serie A and in the European scenario. AC Milan only managed to win an Italian Super Cup in that period, with Vincenzo Montella as a manager, against the powerful Juventus in 2016. He was the only one who had a 50% plus winning ratio at AC Milan, as well as one of the managers that have spent more time in the club together with Gattuso (around 530 days in charge).
There were six managers who were at both club's manager role: Giuseppe Bigogno, Luigi Radice, Ilario Castagner, Giovanni Trapattoni, Alberto Zaccheroni and Leonardo. All of them took a path that had AC Milan as a first stop and then Inter, but now Pioli appears as the first to take the opposite path. Pioli was just 6 months in charge of the Nerazzurri, finishing his campaign at Inter after a run of seven winless games, including five defeats. Now he arrives after a 2-year spell at Fiorentina that ended last April. Will he be able to turn things in AC Milan latest campaigns?
